Inpsired by the works of my cousin, Erick McLellan-Martinez, this took a weekend to complete. It was started on Friday evening, and continued on Saturday night/(Sunday morning), as I entered a sort of flow state at 12:30 AM and continued until 5:00 AM. Sunday evening, I finished the piece.
I also took the challenge upon myself to create something extremely symmetrical - however, got burnt out and decided to make half the "face" gone/unfinished, as to avoid future work.
The initial idea was to have the totem sitting on a hill, reaching into the clouds while towering over a vast forest of pine trees - but after that idea didn't turn out the way I'd initially hoped, I kept it to just the structure.
